Educational opportunities at University Baptist Church include multiple options for children through adults. From traditional Sunday Morning Bible Study to a new multi-layered approach to formation, one can find the right place for developing a deeper relationship with God.
Sunday Morning Bible Study As is traditional with Baptists, Sunday morning is a time of Bible Study before our weekly congregational worship service. Adult, youth and children's classes meet weekly to study God's Word. Children's classes begin at 9:45 a.m. and adult classes begin at 10:00 a.m.
College Student Ministry Visit our home page to read about the programs we have available for our college students.
Wednesday Evening Study Each Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. an adult Bible Study is held for college students through adults. Biblical themes, books of the Bible, topical studies and contemporary book studies are designed to help further personal and corporate growth.
Media Center Everyone is invited to make full use of the Media Center, located in room 134, on the first floor of the long main wing. A breadth of books and other media are available for all ages. A committee is currently reviewing the contents of the Media Center to update this resource for all members of the church.
Vacation Bible School A vital part of our children's educational ministry is Vacation Bible School. Children ages three through grade six are invited to spend three hours a day for five days during their summer break learning about God and growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ. On average, forty children rotate through a gathering time, Bible study, crafts, music, recreation and snacks. A theme ties everything together for the week, and a special event is held at the end of the week for children to share with parents and friends what they have learned and created during the week.
Visit our 2009 VBS web page for an overview of last year's Vacation Bible School: Camp E.D.G.E. The dates for 2009 were June 22 - June 26.
