GALACTIC BLAST:
A COSMIC ADVENTURE
PRAISING GOD!

Galactic Blast: A Cosmic Adventure Praising God! took children on an adventure through outer space to praise God. It was the theme of this year’s Vacation Bible School, June 21 - 25. Yes! On the very day of the summer solstice began a fantastic opportunity for UBC children and those in our surrounding communities to boldly look into space as they never have before and gain a new perspective on our planet Earth while developing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. During the week, children learned:

■ Our God is wonderful! - Story: Creation of the Universe
■ Our God is incredible! - Story: Elijah at Mt. Horeb
■ Our God is amazing! - Story: The Woman at the Well
■ Our God is magnificent! - Story: A Blind Beggar in Jericho
■ Our God is awesome! - Story: Two Disciples in Emmaus

Children ages 4 through grade 6 gathered from 9 AM to 12 Noon and rotated through Galactic Praise (worship and assembly time) where, with the help of their GPS (Galactic Praise Satellite) they glimpsed the wonders of space and connected objects found in space with each day’s Bible teachings.

Following the assembly time, each cadet took a “spacewalk” with their mission pilots to Good News Galaxy (Bible activities), Cosmic Crafts, Rocket Rec (recreation), Astro Bistro (snacks), Moons and Tunes (music) and the Orbital Observatory (science demonstrations).
